PostDoc

We are looking for an experimental postdoc or staff scientist to work on cold atom trapping in slotted waveguide structures. Position is for 2 to 4 years. Candidates must have a PhD in a relevant area in experimental atomic physics (cold/ultracold atoms). English is the working language of our university, located on the beautiful subtropical island of Okinawa. International level salary and attractive relocation package offered for successful candidate and their immediate family. Applications accepted until the position is filled.

Position open for a 2-year postdoc on Quantum Chaos in the new group Quantum Dynamics and Control lead by Aurelia Chenu at the University of Luxembourg, starting as soon as possible.

The postdoc fellow will be working on dynamics of quantum chaos, considering unitary and open dynamics, using tools from random matrix theory, and contribute to a project funded by the John Templeton Foundation.

Position title and duration: postdoc or research assistant professor, depending on the candidate’s qualifications. The appointment is offered initially for a one-year period, with the possibility of further extensions up to three years of total duration.

The 5th Institute of Physics (University of Stuttgart) is searching for PhD and Postdoc candidates to complete our Quantum Computing team.

In our group, we have started a new project aiming to realize a Quantum Computer Demonstrator with several hundred qubits based on individually controlled Rydberg atoms. In this context, we have openings for PhD candidates and Postdocs with strong background in either atom trapping, complex control engineering, or active optics.

For our group at the University of Siegen (Germany) we are looking for a motivated postdoc and/or PhD student in the field of quantum information theory, foundations of quantum theory, and
quantum optics. The group is led by three PIs (Otfried Gühne, Matthias Kleinmann, and Stefan
Nimmrichter) and the research topics include:
