We are seeking for a postdoc in the filed of theoretical quantum computation.

The position will be implemented within the group of Michał Oszmaniec in Center for Theoretical Physics PAS in Warsaw. The group is founded form the project "Quantum computers of the near future: challenges, optimal of implementations and applications" (https://nisq.eu/) awarded by Foundation for Polish Science.

Depending on the qualifications and competences of the candidates, we propose the following research topics:

Position Description:

The quantum computing group at CSI/BNL invites applications for a research associate position in theoretical quantum information science, with a start date of Summer/Fall of 2020.
The successful candidate will work closely with Layla Hormozi and other members of the group on topics related to error correcting codes and topological phases of matter. The term of employment for this position will be for two years contingent upon satisfactory performance and availability of funds by the end of the first year.

Position Requirements:

The NISQ project ("Near-term quantum computers") is looking for one junior postdoc (limited time after obtaining PhD) to work on using statistical physics to characterize the computational power and possible practical applications of quantum computing devices.

NISQ is a collaboration between four groups based in Warsaw, Kraków and Gliwice in Poland. The position is at Physics Department of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.

Postdoc positions in quantum algorithms and/or quantum machine learning with NISQ devices

The Faculty of Sciences at H.I.T. –Holon Institute of Technology (Israel) invites applications for postdoctoral positions in mathematical and theoretical physics funded by the Israel Science Foundation. The successful candidate will be involved in the projects on

The Light-Matter Interactions for Quantum Technologies Unit (Prof. S. Nic Chormaic), invites applications for several experienced researchers in experimental cold atom physics. Successful candidates will contribute to our active and well-funded research program, with a focus on optical nanofibre-mediated interactions. Only candidates with research vision and a strong publication record in the field will be considered.. The laboratory is very well equipped and we have several active collaborations.

We are inviting applications for a postdoc position within the Barz group at the University of Stuttgart.

The successful candidate will work on the development of integrated silicon circuits and their use in quantum information processing.

We are looking for excellent and highly motivated postdocs:

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position in theoretical condensed matter physics. The successful candidate is expected to have a PhD in condensed-matter theory and will work in the group of Professor Mark Dykman in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Michigan State University. She or he will participate in the research of electrons on the helium surface, with the emphasis on the spin dynamics, decoherence mechanisms, and the operation of spin-based qubits. The initial appointment will be one year, but is renewable for an additional year.
