The laboratory of condensed matter physics (LPMC) is a joint research unit (UMR 7336) headed by the University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis and the CNRS. It is associated with two CNRS institutes, namely the INstitute of Physics (main association) and the INstitute of Engineering and System Sciences (secondary association). The research programs depend on sections 05 and 08 of the National Committee of Scientific Research, and on sections 28, 30 and 63 of the National Council of the Universities.

The QUEST Institute for Experimental Quantum Metrology is a joint institution of Leibniz Universität Hannover and PTB Braunschweig, the German National Metrology Institute. The institute was founded within the scope of the Excellence Cluster "QUEST" ("Centre for Quantum Engineering and Space-Time Research") on PTB's campus.

The Diamond Nanoscience group is based in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of Macquarie University, close to Sydney. We are part of the Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems. The group involves cross-disciplinary research activity including the growth and the post-processing of nanodiamonds for their application in emerging fields of single particle probing, of magnetic nanosensors and microscopy. The studies undertaken include the use of fundamental quantum optics experiments, material science experiments and a combination of chemical physics approaches.

NuCrypt develops inter-disciplinary technologies for emerging applications in communications and metrology. As one example of our multi-faceted technologies, NuCrypt sells a suite of quantum optical instrumentation that allows for the generation, distribution, and measurement of entangled photons. Our equipment can automatically perform quantum state reconstruction (tomography) in seconds by leveraging 50MHz gated singled photon detectors and high speed polarization analyzers.

We are expecting to establish a research facility entitled Quantum-Atom Optics (QAO) group as a working part of the Quantum Matter and Quantum Information (QMQI) Group. The main goals are to provide access to researchers, to offer flawless information that helps narrowing theoretical window on the behaviors of the ultra-cold substances and to assist physicists to aim at only what quantum matter, in particular the BEC, may offer.
