Job Title: Post-Doc in cold atoms theory
STOCKHOLM UNIVERSITY
DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS
Postdoctoral Fellow in Quantum Photonics
The research focuses on solid-state devices for the generation, storage, and manipulation of quantum light, with applications in quantum technologies.
Candidates will have demonstrated academic success at the highest level, enthusiasm, independent thinking, and shown an aptitude for experimental physics.
The Light-Matter Interactions Unit (groups.oist.jp/light) in OIST, headed by Prof Síle Nic Chormaic, invites applications for a postdoc on quantum dot integration with structured optical nanofibers for cavity QED measurements. The successful candidate will work within the Neutral Atoms for Quantum Technologies Group. Only candidates with research vision and exemplary publication records will be considered. The successful candidate must have experience in nano waveguides, optical nanofibers, ideally with quantum dot manipulation skills.
The Light-Matter Interactions Unit (groups.oist.jp/light) in OIST, headed by Prof Síle Nic Chormaic, invites applications for postdoctoral or staff scientist positions in experimental cold atom physics. The successful candidates will need to contribute to one of our strands of research within the Neutral Atoms for Quantum Technologies Group on optical nanofiber integration into laser-cooled ground state and Rydberg atomic systems. Only candidates with research vision and exemplary publication records will be considered.
We invites applications for different positions in experimental or theoretical studies of dark matter detection with optical atomic clocks and in in theoretical/observational inhomogeneous cosmology. The candidate can choose between:
Applications are invited for a position as a Post-Doctoral Research Officer at the Department of Physics in the College of Science at Swansea University, to develop research in the field of theoretical quantum information, under the supervision of Dr Markus Müller (http://www.markus-mueller.website).
Applications are invited for one Postdoctoral Research Assistant to study multi-parameter quantum metrology in the quantum information science group of Dr. Animesh Datta at the University of Warwick, UK.
The post is available initially for a fixed-term duration ending 30 November 2019, with extensions of 12 or more months contingent on additional funding. The starting date is expected to be no later than June 01, 2017.
We are looking for a co-investigator in a project “Study of magic and magic-zero wavelength in optical lattice clocks with blue-detuned lattice”.
At the centre for quantum information, KIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology), we are seeking highly motivated early career researchers and PhD students who intend to enhance his or her career on the experimental quantum optics and quantum information. Potential research topics include the followings:
A. Photonic quantum information
- Entangled photon pair generation and its applications to quantum information processing
- Integrated quantum photonics
- Quantum secure communication including quantum key distribution
