CQIQC Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Quantum Information and Quantum Control 2021

(Position no longer available) Postdoc position in experimental atomic physics exploring aspects of quantum control in ultra-cold neutral atom systems. We have active experiments in quantum sensing with atom interferometers, and multi-atom entanglement using interactions between ultra-cold Rydberg atoms. The Angelakis group at CQT Singapore (www.dimitrisangelakis.org) is looking for a postdoctoral research fellow with a strong research background and a PhD in quantum information with a focus on quantum algorithms and applications. Candidates from quantum simulations and quantum many-body physics, or implementations of quantum computing may also inquire as well.

A research assistant professor position of theoretical quantum information science at Quantum Information Unit of Kyoto University will be available starting July 2021 or later.

The research assistant professor will be affiliated with Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP), Kyoto University, Japan.

We offer a 2-years post-doctoral position for a motivated researcher to join our work on spin qubits in silicon carbide (SiC). Colour centres in SiC have recently be shown to uniquely combine excellent spin properties with ultrastable optical transitions for spin-photon interfacing (see, for example, our collaborative work publish in Nature Communications 10, 1954). Our goal is to develop quantum devices, integrating spintronic, electronic and photonic functionalities on a single chip, by exploiting the power of a technologically-mature semiconductor platform.
